TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This is the policy regarding the Corona Virus situation. Basically, there are 3 choices:
1. If the balance for your holiday is due and you wish to wait to see how the virus develops, I will defer collecting the balance until you decide definitely to go. So, you could see how the land lies, and pay it just a week or two prior to the start date.
2. If you would like to defer your holiday until next year, I will give you next year’s weeks at this year's list prices, so you would not be out of pocket as far as the villa cost is concerned, but obviously would have to wait until next year. If you want to change to alternative weeks, let me know and I will update your booking. PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY SPECIAL RATE (eg late availability offers) WILL NOT APPLY, BUT A CREDIT FOR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID WILL BE GIVEN AGAINST A FUTURE BOOKING.
3. If you decide you want to cancel your holiday altogether, I will be happy to write a letter that you can forward to your insurance company detailing the amount that you have paid so far, which would, in effect be the 10% deposit.
This virus is such a tragedy on so many levels, and although this year's villa business has completely bombed, I do realise that this is a minor inconvenience compared to so many.
Payment of the deposit implies agreement to all the following terms and conditions.
We ask for a 10% deposit to secure the booking, with the balance and the £100 security deposit payable 8 weeks prior to the start date.
Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to rental period must be accompanied by full payment.
Except in the case of normal wear and tear the hirer is responsible for making good of any damage to the property and its contents. This includes cleaning of BBQs and all rubbish should be removed from the property and disposed of in the local community dustbins. Any damage should be reported A.S.A.P to us. The cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the security deposit, and in the case of excessive damage, we retain the right to request extra funds.
All cancellations by the hirer must be made in writing. All efforts will be made to re-let the cancelled period, and if this is achieved at the same rate, 100% of moneys already paid will be refunded. As such, the earlier the notification of cancellation the better. If a lower rate is achieved, the balance will be repaid. We highly recommend that at time of booking you take out personal travel/cancellation insurance.
INCLUDED IN RENTAL
Wi-Fi, Electricity, Gas, Pool Maintenance, Bed linen and bathroom towels.
NOT INCLUDED IN RENTAL
Airport Transfers or any Personal Insurance (we recommend you take out Travel Insurance at time of booking). Pool heating is not included for the low season weeks, but can be provided at a cost of £150 per week.
KEYS, ARRIVAL and DEPATURE
For UK guests, keys, directions and other information will be posted to the guest around 10 days prior to the start date. For non-UK guests, all information will be emailed and a representative will hand over the keys on arrival.
The property is available for occupation from 4pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed.
Booking periods run from Saturday to Saturday, unless otherwise stated in writing. We have tried to accommodate alternative days in the past, and have always been left with partial weeks that never sell. Alternative arrival and departure days are available during the low season.
All information provided is given in good faith and reasonable measures have been taken to ensure the accuracy of any statement made, but we are not liable for any variation however caused.
We cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligation is affected by forces of nature, war, threat of war, civil commotion, hostilities, strikes or other industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, acts of god, terrorist activities, closure of airports, seaports, epidemics, weather conditions, government action, power cuts, water cuts or any other events out of our control.
AMENDMENTS OR CANCELLATIONS BY US
In the unlikely event that a property becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered a full refund. The refund is restricted to rental costs and we will not be liable for any cancellation charges for travel arrangements.
In the unlikely event you have a complaint about the property or its contents, it must be reported immediately to us and we will take all reasonable steps to resolve the problem A.S.A.P.
RIGHT OF ACCESS
We and our representatives reserve the right of access to the property at any time, with due regard to the convenience of the hirer for inspection of the property or to carry out essential maintenance work.
INSURANCE – PROPERTY HIRE COST DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY PERSONAL INSURANCE COVER OF ANY KIND. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU TAKE OUT CANCELLATION INSURANCE AS WELL AS PERSONAL, ACCIDENT AND MEDICAL INSURANCE.
ALSO, YOU SHOULD BE AWARE YOU CAN OBTAIN A FORM E111 (EHIC) FROM A POST OFFICE, WHICH ENTITLES YOU TO EMERGENCY HEALTH CARE IN ANOTHER EU STATE, PLEASE NOTE THIS BY NO MEANS REPLACES ADEQUATE TRAVEL INSURANCE
